I was eager to finish the fruit challenge and start with other themes. I have always had a soft spot for The Little Mermaid movie and its universe, the colors and the songs. However, I didn't really want to copy the
Disney look for this nail art because there are many beautiful manicures dedicated to the red-haired
mermaid out there. What I like most about a mermaid is her tail, the glitter, and the pearly tones. I think that's where the true
magic lies.

To create this manicure, I used a
violet from Kiko. It's called
Periwinkle Violet and it's number 33. It was one of the first polishes I bought when
Kiko opened on Fuencarral street, and it's one of my favorite colors. It's a wonderful mix between blue and violet, with a lot of intensity. But besides this color, what gives all the life and
shine to this
nail art is the
Accessorize 3D nail polish
Emerald City. It's a polish that didn't catch my attention at all when I used it alone, because I found it too excessive, but it has a
beautiful texture when applied with a
sponge, as you can see in the images.
It's a very abstract interpretation of a
mermaid, but I think it's a manicure that can be worn with anything, and I love its colors.
What do you think? Does it remind you of a mermaid?
