I think that of all the tests I've been doing, this is the one I like the most. In the end, it turned out to be a good compendium of three types of
glitter (one purple, another very fine crystal type and a third hexagonal with green, pink and orange sparkles) and a very gelatinous
mint green.
I've called it "
swamp thing" because it reminded me of a little green monster, but a very cute monster, full of rhinestones with sparkles.
It's a shame that in Spain there aren't materials to make custom nail polishes at home, like in the United States. There, they sell a special
transparent base so that the glitter stays suspended, they sell all kinds of
glitter (special for nail polish, be careful, not just any kind will do, some will stain) and they also sell colored
pigments that can be mixed to create any color you want, giving it more or less intensity so that it is opaque or not.
The problem we will encounter when making a
franken polish at home is that the glitter will settle to the bottom. This will happen unless you do as I have done: use a transparent nail polish that already contains
glitter and mix it with another colored one. The colored nail polish, when mixed with the transparent one, will be ideal for making jelly sandwiches; in short, it will be very
sheer.
